Well, a few of those bands have always been political. Springsteen, REM and Credence Clearwater never shied away from a political topic, and Pearl Jam (better yet, Eddie) has always been very vocal about society and their political beliefs. I would like to know what Al Jazeera is saying about it. The paper and the station isn't exactly Anti-US on the surface, but there is no denying that it is, and that it backs the atrocities that the terrorist organizations take part in. If they have positive things to say about these bands (all of whom would be skinned alive for the things that have probably gone on inside their tour buses), I would hope the bands would see that they are being praised by people that I should hope they would NOT want to be praised by. No matter what I feel about the President, I would rather share a table with Bush than any of the knuckleheads over there that we are fighting! Call me crazy, but having BBQ with Bush sounds like a safer and more enjoyable excursion than BBQ with Bin Laden!
Hey "BBQ With Bin Laden" could make a GREAT Rockabilly tune!!!
